About us

Welcome! We are George and Helen Dance and we moved to Somerset in 1988 after thirty years of working in London.

Both country people we were glad to get out of the city and chose the Mendip area because it was central to our families.

We soon found that it was a wonderful area for our family to visit, and it seemed an obvious extension to also entertain other visitors.

We soon established Martindale Cottage and before long we were filling up for 45-48 weeks each year.
