About Martindale Cottage

Martindale Cottage has a 3-star English Tourist Board (ETB) rating and is situated in a quiet lane near the centre of Draycott village. The village shop is only 200 yards away. Our home is just along the footpath if you should need anything and open country is within five minutes walk in any direction.

The cottage provides pleasant family accommodation throughout the year, and we welcome children and pets. The cottage is non-smoking throughout.

Lounge/dining area

An open plan ground floor has a living area, dining area and recently updated kitchen. The inglenook fireplace complete with three bags of logs, beamed ceilings and window seat, make for an intimate atmosphere for families, honeymoons or just recuperating from the hurly-burly of life.

There are a range of books, games and videos for both children and adults, together with TV, VCR and radio. A pay phone is near the staircase, together with a considerable amount of tourist information, maps and books on the area.

Kitchen

The modern fitted kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave and fridge with icebox.

Main bedroom

Upstairs, the large double bedroom has space for a cot and/or folding bed, though this can also go into the lounge.

Second bedroom

Although compact, the second bedroom is fitted with 3ft. bunks suitable for adults, each having its own separate light and shelf. There is a small wardrobe, seat and two sets of drawers. Additional wardrobe space is on the landing.

All beds have duvets and sheets, with extra blankets if required.

Bathroom

The bathroom has shower over bath, razor point and additional heater. All hand and bath towels are provided.

Parking

Outside, there is parking for one car and arrangements can be made for additional cars.

Porch

The porch has a shoe rack and the patio has seating.

Utility room

The utility room contains the washing machine, drier, space for bikes and logs for the fire.

Patio

There is no garden, but the patio is secure for dogs, which can be walked along footpaths through fields within five minutes walking distance.

Services & Facilities

The cottage has full gas fired central heating as well as the open inglenook fire, so is very snug in winter. All power, towels, kitchen, table and bed linen are provided, as well as the three bags of logs for the inglenook fire.

We can provide a cot with bedding, high chair and stair gate.

The cottage has TV, VCR, radio, microwave, hair drier, percolator, pay phone, iron, washing machine and drier.
